You will be picked up at your accommodation in Marrakech after breakfast. The journey goes towards the mountain range of the High Atlas. Weather permitting, you can see the silhouette of the High Atlas and the snow-capped peak of Toubkal’s highest peak (4160 m high) in Marrakech. The trip leads past Berber villages and orchards and olive groves. Increasingly, the road becomes narrower and steeper, the landscape and the vegetation change. Steep mountain slopes and cliffs, pine forests, nut trees, almond trees, grazing herds of goats on wild rushing mountain streams. The reddish colored clay buildings of the Berbers determine the landscape. We pass the idyllic Ourika valley and follow the road to Setti-Fatma. This very secluded and popular with Moroccans resort runs along the river with many small restaurants can be reached via suspension bridges.
Setti-Fatma offers very nice hiking possibilities. An approximately half-hour hike to the waterfalls leads through the green river valley with large rock formations uphill to the water cascades. After lunch, we continue to Oukaimeden. At an altitude of 3200m, Oukaimeden is the highest ski resort in Morocco. As a rule, you can ski between December and April. The ski and snowboard equipment can be rented at the lift. Most of the year is ideal for hiking. Oukaimeden is an ideal starting point for hikes into the Ourika Valley, to Asni and Toubkal.
Return to your accommodation in Marrakech towards evening.
